Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that age is higher. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian, and by using the Service you confirm that permission has been granted.

2. Your Account

Some features of the Service (such as online multiplayer lobbies, cross-play, or in-app purchases) may require an account or a device-based identifier. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account or device, and for keeping any credentials secure. 3. License to Use RatPack

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and play RatPack for your personal, non-commercial entertainment on devices you own or control.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense the Service or any part of it.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where the law expressly permits.
• Use cheats, exploits, automation, bots, or unauthorized third-party software that interferes with gameplay or servers.
• Use the Service to harass, harm, defraud, or transmit unlawful content to other players.
• Bypass, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Service.

4. In-App Purchases and Virtual Items

The Service may offer optional in-app purchases, virtual currency, cosmetics, or other digital items. All purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by law or by the platform (Apple App Store, Google Play, Steam) through which the purchase was made. Virtual items have no real-world value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be modified, revoked, or discontinued at any time.

5. User-Generated Content

If the Service lets you submit content (usernames, chat messages, custom lobbies, feedback, etc.), you retain ownership of your content but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, display, reproduce, and use it in connection with operating and improving the Service. You are solely responsible for content you submit and warrant that it does not violate any law or third-party right.

6. Online Play & Community Conduct

RatPack supports online multiplayer. When playing with others, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other players.
• Share personally identifiable information about yourself or others.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose or advertising without our written consent.

We may suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these standards.

7. Third-Party Platforms

The Service is distributed through third-party platforms including Steam, the Apple App Store, and Google Play. Your use of the Service on those platforms is also subject to their respective terms, and we are not responsible for platform-side issues, including billing, refunds, and account management, that are governed by those third parties.

8. Intellectual Property

RatPack, including all game content, characters, artwork, logos, code, sound, music, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right in our intellectual property except the limited license described in Section 3.

9. Updates, Changes, and Availability

We may update, patch, or change the Service at any time, and we may add, modify, or remove features without notice. We may also suspend or discontinue the Service in whole or in part. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute resolution) will survive.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) US $50.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we are established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or related to the Service or these Terms will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, and you consent to their exclusive jurisdiction and venue, except where local consumer-protection laws grant you additional rights.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by posting the updated Terms with a new "Last updated" date, and where required by law, by additional means. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
